GameBoy OMEGA

Click on image for full resolution .

'Omega' means 'final', 'last', and 'the end'.

Although Nintendo clearly stated that the DS was NOT the next Gameboy. They still have not announced anything regarding the new system.
I am sure the success of the DS is one of the reasons, as they do not wish to take away any of the steam the system has accumulated. As well as the launch of the Wii come this November.
But Nintendo is known for their innovation, I should know. Ever since 1989 with the Original NES, I have owned (and enjoyed) every system the company produced, even the VirtualBoy.
So just a new iteration won't cut it, this product has to have a major innovation in the handheld scene. As well as be expandable and 'Future Proof'.
This is my humble gift to Nintendo, for all these years of entertainment.

And you can help too, I am taking in any serious alterations and concepts as well as ideas for modules, and I will rework the design January 2007.

I already have 2 extra modules in the works:
- A WarioWare 1 button + Gyroscope Module
- A Camera Phone Module

- - - - -

This Product is conceptual and not available on the market. It is not designed, endorsed or affiliated by Nintendo; The Gameboy trademark is registered to Nintendo.

You sir, have made an awesome concept design. I think this would work very well though the only comment I have is that the regular module have 4 buttons similar to the SNES instead of just three.

The button layout however is excellently done.
I look forward to seeing more!

It would be even cooler if the interchangeable right button controls was just 1 module.. like a cube that you can to.. Imagine a warioware game like that.. I really did think that Nintendo would release a successor to the GBA, since they made such a big deal out of the 3rd pillar thing.. Oh well, I'm happy with my ds lite =)

This looks amazing. You should send a letter to nintendo asking if they can do this. Hope this becomes the next nintendo handheld.

I did, over 2 years ago. And I even stated that I don't want to get paid for the design, just a tip of the hat like that poor iPod schmuk got is enough...and maybe a free system or two.
The fact that modular design has started to pick up recently might be an incentive for game companies to take that route.
It is user friendly, allowing consumers to only pay for what they want.
It is environmentally friendly, reducing material usage in a way that, instead of wasting resources producing complete systems, the modules would require less to make. Also, the modules can be swapped between friends or even sold.
And if a system breaks down, you only have to buy the core.

Thanks for stopping by.

i'm sorry 2 say, but the game boy has b come obsolete, this thing is not happening, 'cause now there's the dsi coming out come '09. n e way, nintendo stopped makin' game boy advance games long ago. they're not going 2 bring a console that served its time back from the dead.
